Website Terms & Conditions
This document lays the ground rules for your website visitors, and is extremely important for anyone with a website! It outlines what your website is for, what you are and are not providing, protects all content (intellectual property!) on your website, explains how you will operate your website, your rights should users violate these terms, and any other ground rules for your website operations.
Disclaimer
Your Disclaimer creates guidelines and an explanation for information on your website, explaining to users that it is for informational purposes only, and that nothing on your website should take the place of consulting with a medical, legal, financial professional for their individual business, heath, etc. Since you cannot screen those who are visiting your website, or speak with each of them individually, this document protects your business and website by creating guidance and setting expectations, to avoid any misunderstandings.
Individual Client Agreement
This document is extremely important to have for all private, “one-to-one” coaching programs. It outlines the program in detail, and lays the ground rules for the program for both you and your client, to be signed before the program begins. Having this agreement in place will make sure both you and your client are clear on what is being provided (as well as what is not included!). The agreement protects the information you may give your client in the course of the program, outlines payments, refunds, and all the other details of the program. The agreement also comes with a Program Outline attachment and Payment Plan attachment.
Interview Release
Hosting a summit, podcast, or something similar where you’ll be interviewing a guest?? Make sure you have your guest sign an interview release, to clarify who has the rights to the audio, when and where it can be used, confirm you have the rights to use their photo and other details, and more! This is a must-have for any interview or speaking series!
Retreat Waiver
Hosting an event or retreat? Whether you’re bringing your mastermind clients to Maui, or hosting a weekend retreat in the mountains, anytime clients are traveling to attend an event you’re putting on, there are additional legal issues that come up when clients are traveling to an event you’re hosting. Get all your legal ducks in a row before the event with this waiver!
Virtual Summit Speaker Agreement
Many entrepreneurs are electing to build their community and email list by hosting virtual summits – online shows where they interview 10-20 experts in a chosen field or topic, and ask each expert to promote the show to their list, in exchange for an offer to promote themselves in the interview. It’s is important to have each expert sign this agreement in the beginning of their work with you, to make sure everyone is on the same page, and ensure there are no misunderstandings.
Podcast Guest Release Template
Before anyone steps up to that mic to record on your show, make sure they have read, reviewed, AND SIGNED your Podcast Guest Release. This is a HUGELY important piece of the puzzle, and one your business cannot afford to skip…yes, even if you’re just interviewing your friend, and even if the interviewee is very casual and seems okay with whatever you want to do… this will make sure everyone is on the same page, and ensure there are no misunderstandings.

It includes necessary information, confirming you do not authorize those under 18 to use your website, explains how you collect, store, and share data your users may provide to you, your email “opt-in” process, and how to opt out of any emails they initially elect to receive.

Terms of Use (Agreement for Group Programs)
Like the Individual Client Agreement, this document lays the ground rules for any group program, or other package you’re selling on your website, and acts as a client contract for each client who purchases a program or package from you via your site. This document is usually presented at checkout with a link, and requires individuals to check a box before submitting payment, confirming they agree to the terms as outlined. The document just needs to be viewable to your potential clients prior to their purchase of any program or package.
Testimonial Release Form
Most online business owners feature reviews from former clients who enjoyed their program, providing insight into the program, results they may have achieved, and their recommendation for prospective clients to work with them! In order to have freedom to use reviews and a photo of your former client, they should complete this release form, confirming your permission to use, edit, publish, etc. the words they write.
Independent Contractor Agreement
Are you thinking of hiring a Virtual Assistant, Designer, or other contractor to work in your business part-time? If so, it’s very important to define the relationship, and to have him or her sign an independent contractor agreement. This will confirm details like who owns the work they complete for you, how they get paid, and what happens if they perform under expectations.
